Did you say something?

Your eyes would speak
This I felt for a while
The lips are silent
             But not for a smile
The words would flow
             Like a rhythm divine
Though you keep the silence
             But I know you’re mine

The first glimpse of yours
             Piercing my lonely heart
We are looking at each other
Is this the end or the start?
We share that glance
Till the norms allow us to do
Till the end is just the beginning
In this world for me and you

In the labyrinth of this dilemma
             We greet a simple ‘hello’
Inaudible is the sound
             But the depth isn’t shallow
We keep looking into each other’s eyes
And the words became so tempting
Bound to ask you the first question
             Did you actually say something?
