Kiss of Life

What is it that you like the most
Is it my touch, an embrace or a kiss?
Which makes you feel out of this world
A romantic feeling in that sense of bliss
I simply hold your hand & my fingers run up your arm
Till I firmly hold your shoulder, your feelings are no more calm
Though you keep the silence, I know how much you miss
You want more than a touch, might be an eternal kiss

It was the forehead, the first kiss I gave
So short it was, but I know for it you crave
Showing in it was a pure sense of care and kindness
Such was the honesty, with a soothing trust of blindness

The second kiss I gave and this time it was the cheek
Trying to hold your body close when your breath goes weak
You get conscious about it now, still you want to dismiss
You keep holding my hand so hard, but don’t stop me from the kiss

Then I come down to your shoulders
       And embracing your body across
I could feel the warmth of your curves
And even our senses go for a toss
Now you even leave my hand
And let me trace your body like this
That I just can’t resist myself anymore
On your neck I give a kiss

Your one hand across my shoulder
And fingers roving in my hair
All distances seem to converge
These pensive moments are so rare
The forehead, cheeks and neck don’t suffice
We are dying to fill the abyss
Trying to reach for each other’s lips
       For that one eternal kiss

That one moment in eternity
The breath that we could feel
Trying to dissolve in each other’s arm
When the soft lips could heal
One last sigh and then we locked our lips
A chance we both could never miss
A kiss of life as we call it to be
It was the lips that acknowledged the kiss.
